Three Canadians were honoured on January 12th with a monument erected in front of the Canadian Embassy in Kabul. Shirley Case of Williams
Lake, BC and Jacqueline Kirk of Outremont, PQ of the NGO,
International Rescue Committee were gunned down in an ambush
by Taliban on August 13, 2008, some 60 km to the south of
Kabul City. Glyn Berry of Quebec was a Canadian diplomat and
killed by a roadside bomb in Khandahar Province in January
2006. |
